About Media Collections Online (MCO)
Media Collections Online ( https://media.dlib.indiana.edu ) is a service provided by IU Bloomington Library Technologies to support online access to video and audio collections. MCO is used for media course reserves and streaming for digital media collections, replacing legacy platforms such as the Video Streaming Service and the Variations Digital Music Library. MCO is also used to provide access to many library, archival and other collections at IU.
For more information about the features of Media Collections Online please read about the technology we use, the Avalon Media System.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I download files from Media Collections Online?
Media Collections Online does not provide the ability to download source files for items. If you would like to inquire about the original master files for media available on MCO, please use the contact form to get in touch. Most likely, you will be directed to the contact for that collection who may be able to provide you with further information.
If you are a collection manager who needs access to an original master file, please use the same form and a system administrator will be able to retrieve the original file from the tape archive.
