3.3.2 The repository shall have Preservation Policies in place to ensure its Preservation Strategic Plan will be met.
The Indiana University Libraries Digital Preservation Policy was put in place in 2017. It defines the mandate of responsibility for preservation, as well as the guiding principles and responsible parties. The policy was developed to address a need outlined by the Digital Preservation Strategic Vision, 2016-2018.

220.127.116.11 The repository shall have mechanisms for review, update, and ongoing development of its Preservation Policies as the repository grows and as technology and community practice evolve.
Relevant DocumentsThe Indiana University Libraries Digital Preservation Policy has a stated review period of "no more than once per year and no less than once per three years." The responsibility for review will be managed by the IU Libraries Preservation Advisory Group, with review and approval by the Libraries Operations Team.
