OAI Metadata for Wright collection

Source data: MARC; maybe want to get these dynamically out of IUCAT for the production Fedora ingest?
Mapping notes:

  • (tick) MARCXML is currently in one big XML file; need to write a small utility stylesheet to convert this big file into many .xml files, one per book.
  • Create MODS utility file
  • (tick) For MODS, the item identifier (both short and full) will use the form wright2-####. This form isn't exactly in the source MARC record anywhere, though. You'll either have to use an XSLT substring function to grab it out of the end of the PURL in the MARC 856 field, or read in the 001 field and write it out as lowercase. The latter is probably easier.
